Test 1: Fitness Assessment & Speed and Agility

Fitness Assessment: The Fit Test has 9 different exercises that you do in one minute. Man, oh man, did it kill me! Here is a run down of each activity and my score. 14 days till I test again..We'll see what my results are!

Agility Heisman: I love footwork. As a coach, a stress it like crazy simply because it was stressed to me as an athlete. It makes me feel like I'm at home. Although, I have to admit..my footwork sucks! I sure have lost it. The Agility Heisman is what I call the Ikki Shuffle! One of my favorites to do and coach.
My score was 7.

In & Out Ab Progression: This one was awesome. Felt it all over my body. You plank over the agility ladder and then suck your legs into the first square then pop it back out--that is one. Great ab work out, shoulder workout, and back workout.
My score was 26.

Push Ups: Push ups, easy, right? Heck now! Not these ones. These really test your tricepts like no other. In a normal push up stance, you push one arm out at a 45 degree angle, then do your push up. At first they were easy, but by the end, it was killer!
My score was 13.

Mountain Climber Switch Kicks: Cardio and leg strength. Raising/kicking one leg while extending the opposite arm. I enjoyed these because they sure got my heart going!
My score was 55.

Agility Shoulder Taps: Crazy hard! I loved it! Imagine going through a ladder with your feet, well now imagine going through with your hands. Going from one side of the ladder while in plank position. The catch is, every time you move squares, you have to tap the opposite shoulder. Awesome should and tri work!
My score was 5.

X-Jumps: Starting in squat position with your hands by your heals, you explode up and extend your arms and legs into an X. Good cardi and quad work!
My score was 32.

Moving Push-ups: Similar to the Agility Shoulder Taps, but this time, every time you move squares you have to do a push up. Crazy hard. My shoulders were spent at this point. Every down and back is 1.
My score was 2.

Agility Lateral Shuffle: Again, I love footwork. Brings me back to my comfort zone. This was just a side shuffle to one side of the ladder and back. Great calf and cardio workout.
My score was 14.

Agility Bear Crawl: Bear Crawl to the top of the ladder, touch your feet in the top square, bare crawl to the bottom of the ladder and touch your hands in bottom square. Crazy hard. Simple. It killed me.
My score was 5.

So, there you have it! My fit test. This test alone pushed me like crazy. My own assessment, I did we on the agility activities, but poorly on the ones that required upper body strength. I'm pumped. Only up from here!
